Bettencourt Sr, Aires J., age 70, of Tab Ave., died November 22, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria C. (Ramos Lopes). Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose De Sousa and Maria da Conceicao (Martins) Bettencourt.
He worked as a machine operator for American Insulated Wire for 30 years.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his children Aires J. Bettencourt Jr. of Cranston, Ana Da Conceicao Almeida of Central Falls and his 3 grandchildren Mario, Tyler and Nathan Almeida. He was the brother of Noelia M. Silva of Rehoboth, Jose M. Bettencourt of SC and the late Carlos Bettencourt.
His funeral will begin on Monday at 8 AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 N. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday 5-8 PM.
