Fidalgo, Alexandre C. "Janeiro" 64, of Trenton St., died February 9, 2009 at RI Hospital. He was the husband of Aurora (Abilheira) Fidalgo. Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Joaquim G. and Rosa (Pires Casanova) Fidalgo.
He was self-employed and owner of Fidalgo Construction.
Besides his wife of 42 years, he is survived by his children; Manuel Fidalgo, Teresa Fidalgo and Alexandre Fidalgo all of Providence. He is survived by his grandchildren; Andrew White , Jordan Fidalgo, Ricardo Castillo and Zenas Kennedy. He was the father of the late Mike Fidalgo. He was the brother of the late Domingos and Antonio Fidalgo.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45AM from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St. Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
